Caring for Your New Extensions

Congratulations on your new Invisible Bead Extensions®! To keep them looking beautiful and ensure their longevity, here’s a simple guide to follow for daily care, washing, and summer protection.

Brushing Your Extensions

• Use a soft-bristle or extension-safe brush to gently detangle your hair.

• Always start at the ends and work your way up to avoid pulling on the extensions.

• Hold your hair at the root while brushing to minimize tension at the scalp.

• Brush your extensions at least twice a day to prevent tangling and matting, especially before washing.

Washing Your Extensions

• Before Washing: Brush through your extensions to remove any tangles. Separate your rows by clipping up each row for ease of washing each section

• Shampoo: Use a sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo. We love Goldie Locks Shampoo. Apply shampoo at the scalp, massaging gently. Avoid rough scrubbing.

• Condition: Apply Goldie Locks Conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends, avoiding the bonds. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

• Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure all product is rinsed out to prevent product buildup at the roots.

Drying Your Extensions

• Towel Dry: Gently pat your hair with a towel to absorb excess moisture. Avoid rubbing or twisting your hair.

• Blow Dry: Always blow dry your roots to avoid any moisture buildup. Use a low-heat setting to finish drying the lengths of your hair.

• Air Dry: If air-drying, ensure your roots are dry first to prevent moisture from ruining your investment. Let the rest of your hair air-dry naturally.

Going to Bed

Don’t go to bed with your hair wet. Always fully dry your hair and secure your ends by braiding or styling in a loose ponytail

• Our favorite way to style our hair extensions before bed is by putting in heatless curls for perfectly styled hair every morning

Summer Care Guide

During the summer, your extensions require a little extra care due to sun exposure, chlorine, and saltwater. Follow these tips to keep your extensions healthy:

Sun Protection: Wear a hat or use a UV-protection spray on your hair to shield it from harmful UV rays, which can cause dryness and color fading.

Chlorine/Pool Protection: Before swimming, wet your hair with fresh water and apply a leave-in conditioner or braid your hair to protect it from chlorine and saltwater. Rinse your hair immediately after swimming.

Hydrate: Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week to keep your extensions moisturized, especially after sun exposure or swimming.

• Be sure to use a mineral sunscreen anywhere your hair touches your skin. Regular sunscreen has a chemical called Avobenzone which will turn your blonde extensions, a not so pretty shade of peachy-pink.
